About Me

Hi, I’m Anderson York, a parent coach helping parents navigate the messy, beautiful, and often overwhelming journey of raising kids—especially during times when life feels dysregulated. I focus on supporting parents who have faced significant adversity through trauma or loss and are struggling to care for themselves while also showing up for their kids. Through peer-based coaching, I help parents regain a sense of self and purpose—offering practical tools and strategies for compassionate parenting with clarity and confidence.

I bring a diverse background of formal training, education, and hands-on experience working with teens and families. While my professional career has primarily been in consulting engineering, my heart has always been drawn to supporting others through life’s challenges.

My path and purpose have been shaped by my own life’s challenges. I’ve experienced profound and complex trauma and loss, which gave me a deep, personal understanding of what it means to heal, rebuild, and reconnect. These experiences didn’t just test my resilience—they revealed the essential role that compassion and connection play in helping us move forward.

As a dad to three boys, I’ve navigated the complexities of neurodiversity, mental health challenges, and the emotional impact of growing up in a family shaped by addiction, codependency, and cycles of abuse. These experiences taught me firsthand how disconnection and emotional wounding can fracture our sense of self, while also deepening my understanding of how compassion and intentional connection can begin the healing process—not just for ourselves, but for our kids.

My work has taken me around the world, where I’ve connected with diverse cultures, philosophies, and faiths—broadening my understanding of how people seek meaning, belonging, and purpose. These experiences reinforced my belief that while our stories may differ, our shared need for connection—to ourselves and others—is universal.

What I’ve learned, both personally and professionally, is that healing and growth come through connection. It’s not about having all the answers or being the perfect parent—it’s about showing up with compassion, curiosity, and a willingness to grow alongside your kids. My goal is to support parents on their healing journey, helping them create spaces where both they and their children feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
